Create an Intuit Developer Account

Before you can create a QuickBooks app, you need an Intuit Developer account. This free account gives you access to the Intuit Developer Portal where you’ll manage your apps and credentials.

Prerequisites

A valid email address
Access to that email for verification

Step 1: Navigate to the Intuit Developer Portal

Go to developer.intuit.com
Click Sign In in the top-right corner
On the sign-in page, click Create an account or Sign up

Step 2: Complete Your Developer Profile

After verification, you may be asked to complete your developer profile:

Company name: Enter your company or personal name
Country: Select your country
Developer type: Choose your role (e.g., Independent Developer, ISV, Enterprise)
Use case: Briefly describe what you’re building

This information helps Intuit understand how their platform is being used and may be optional.

Step 3: Access the Developer Dashboard

Once your account is set up:

You’ll be redirected to the Intuit Developer Dashboard
Click My Hub in the top-right corner
Select App dashboard to view your app dashboard
You’re now ready to create your first app!
